About Luis

Luis Accorsi has always thrived on reinvention. From his earliest days in punk, through decades of genre-bending projects, he’s carried a raw energy and restless creativity into every band and album.

In 2016, after Raphael Sepulveda’s departure, Accorsi’s project The Flux Machine evolved into The Shrieks. Over the next three years, The Shrieks produced three albums—The Shrieks, Toxygen, and Ode to Joe—each marked by playful, strange videos and a fearless, experimental spirit. The pandemic ultimately silenced The Shrieks, but from its ashes came a new identity: Toxic Tito.

Toxic Tito was Accorsi’s way of coming full circle, reconnecting with his beginnings as a punk rocker. The debut album, BESTIA, captured the chaos of a world thrown into turmoil by the global virus. Together with collaborator Alex Sopala, a recent Berkeley graduate, he created nearly 50 songs, pushing boundaries and widening his sound. The second record, Punk Party, featured Accorsi singing in Spanish, forging new friendships and standing out as one of his most personal favorites. His third release, Energenetico, was more ambitious and layered, brimming with passion and intensity.

Accorsi’s impact extends beyond his own bands. In 2023, Grammy-winning producer Marc Urselli invited him to contribute to Ramones Redux, where he collaborated with Zapato3 and Rudy LaScala. Recently, he recorded at Urselli’s new Audio Confidential studio, becoming the first to inaugurate the space with sessions for their forthcoming EP Toxy Turvy. The lead single, The Music Died, will be released September 19th with a striking video shot at NLK Studio.
